We are looking for a Commercial Contracting Operations Analyst to join our Contracts & Pricing Operations team onsite (hybrid) in Atlanta, GA

About the role
The Commercial Contracting Analyst provides in-depth knowledge and consultative approach to pricing and managed care markets analysis, insights, and business drivers. The Analyst will assist in the development of managed care contract forecasts, develop and leverage contract performance assessments, and participate in contract review. Most importantly, this individual will participate in ideation, strategy, review, and negotiations in preparation for Pre-deal and Post-deal Payer account reviews.

Who'll you'll work with

As a Key Account 'Single Point of Contact', you will establish relationships with key business stakeholders in Market Access, Marketing & Strategy, and UCB's business units to understand the issues faced by their specific assigned Pharmacy Benefit Manager and investigate creative and compliant contracting solutions, leveraging information and analytics.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Managed Markets field team to identify ideal contracting options and alternative contracting options.
  • Serve as 'Single Point of Contact' (SPOC) for Key Payer Accounts: in-depth understanding of analogs, pre-deal analysis, managed markets trends, payer market research, contract language (redline process), customer data, and post deal analysis.
  • Analyze and make recommendations in partnership with Market Access colleagues regarding the continuation/termination/rebate terms of existing contracts based on profitability and contract performance.
  • Develop, refine, and own financial models to support contracting decisions, including modeling and analysis of innovative contracts.
  • Own and support the development of key deliverables and insights for stakeholders across the organization i.e. Market insights, Pricing analysis, Patient journey, Post-deal analysis, etc.
  • Package and present material to key stakeholders, US leadership and Global executives (Patient Value Heads, US Pricing Committee, and Global Pricing Committee).
  • Demonstrate strong ability to work in a team environment and foster cross-team collaboration with open dialogue and collaborative atmosphere.

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ Years of demonstrated success in analysis, reporting, forecasting, actuary, and modeling
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical experience in Managed Care or Operations preferred
  • Proven success in developing, implementing, and interpreting advanced analytical models in a commercial setting
  • Exceptional ability to apply analysis to strategic evaluations of contracting strategy and pricing decisions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to consolidate complex concepts or calculations into meaningful internal dashboards and/or presentation material.
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Business Intelligence (BI) super-user
