Here's what you'll be responsible for:
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, related financial statement preparation and financial reporting/analytics, account reconciliations and documentation necessary to ensure GAAP compliance
- Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions
- Drive for continuous improvement of the overall finance function through a hands-on approach
- Provide leadership and expertise for accounting functions with ongoing development of its team members
- Implement effective and efficient controls and processes that ensure data accuracy and adherence to accounting principle
- Establish and implement accounting policies and operating procedures
- Assist Senior Leadership to meet the business' growth and finance goals
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
- Lease accounting and workflow
- Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA desired
- Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, or similar
- Minimum 10 years of work experience

Pay Transparency Notice
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
