Senior Associate, Congress LogisticsLive

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will assist in the execution of how Amgen approaches Global Congress operations and logistics. This position offers a unique view across all therapeutic areas, and all business functions. This perspective allows for our team to better define a One Amgen Approach in how we operate congress attendee logistics and ancillary events.

This person needs to demonstrate an understanding Global and local needs in providing support for global congresses as appropriate. They will work to execute and improve processes around attendee operations and logistics. Ancillary event support will reflect brand and stakeholder imperatives and the desired narrative. Our goal is to streamline congress logistics processes for wider Amgen staff so that they can focus on HCP engagement and better assist patients.

This role will have a transformational element, a strategic element, and an operational element:

Transformation: Work with the team to build opportunities for Amgen to centralize its management of Congresses in todays environment. The deployment of centralized options to support Operations and Logistics and the associated behavior change will be a large portion of this role.Strategy: Understanding and capitalizing on the objective of congresses will require a pan-congress vision in which One Amgen is front and center. Operationalize and support existing processes to further Amgen strategy.Operations: This role will help support and understand the current operations, redefine processes, leading to a seamless operating model going forward for global congresses.A successful candidate will help lead Amgen into a new approach around Congresses Globally through cross-functional partnership, embracing technology, and continuous innovation.Role Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Per Program timeline development and managementOverall annual timeline development and managementAssist with housing block assignments and monitor attritionCoordinate with Amgen RAE, agency, and congress association to procure meeting rooms at congress venuesAssist with crafting and managing registration platform and manage attendee submissions and approvalsAttendee communications and notificationsWork with various partners for badge allocationReview, negotiate, and approve vendor contractsEngage in regular communication with agenciesOnsite event oversightTravel to 2-4 programs per year, plus annual team meetingWinWhat we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
