GSK's US Market Access Enterprise Accounts team is looking for a Director of Analytics, Market Access Account Integration. The Director of Analytics, Market Access Account Integration position is a highly visible role within the Market Access Enterprise Accounts team, reporting to the FVP Market Access Account Integration (West). This role is responsible for thorough customer and competitor analytics to drive strategic planning and account plan development. Strategic accounts includes regional payers, Specialty contract customers (MCOs, infusion and infusion management groups), IDNs, large employers, and coalitions.

This role requires strong communication skills, data analytics experience and familiarity with connecting analytics to business decisions by interacting with several functions, including, Market Access Strategy, Operations & Analytics, other Market Access & Brand Account teams, Finance, Forecasting, Commercial Insights, and external vendors to gain marketplace insights and continually update data sets and tools.

  • Responsible for supporting optimization of the Market Access Integration account team and strategic plan through the delivery of end-to-end Enterprise diagnosis resulting in a performance narrative inclusive of customer (field and medical) insight themes, key retailer performance lead / lag metrics, measures for profitable volume growth opportunities (TRxs), and the achievement of business objectives.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain individual integrated customer level strategic account plans and quarterly business reviews, including SWOT and market landscape analyses as well as Retail marketing programs / tactics to correct shortfalls and ensure an accurate portrait of each customer opportunity, enabling GSK to maximize profitable immunization growth opportunities. Mutually agree on action steps holding GSK and customer accountable for issue resolution.
  • Challenge thinking, create cause to modify / change assumptions or actions and influence innovation with Retail, C-suite, Division and Regional leadership on key market trends and customer behaviors to enable top-down profitable marketing initiatives and more informed top-down decision-making on immunization strategies.
  • Provide analysis on key customer metrics and competitive environment to inform contracting decisions and strategies such as Lives- ASO/fully insured, MAPD/PDP, LIS/non-LIS, Benefit designs- copay/coinsurance, tiers, specialty tiers, and LIS Benchmark, Specialty Pharmacy coverage
  • Ongoing review of multiple Enterprise data tools for key insights
  • Prepare financial analyses and "what if" scenarios to support various strategic and contracting initiatives.
  • Analyze unique opportunities and business development opportunities such as, Value-based, Specialty Pharmacy, Retail, and provider-based contracting.
  • Monitor customer policies for contract compliance and threats/opportunities including, Prior Authorization, Medical policies, Disease Pathways, Site of Care policies, Specialty and Pharmacy policies.
  • Present Market Access Analytics and Intelligence tools to Market Access Integration Accounts.
  • Regional Payer Interface: Provide guidance to account directors on opportunities for Enterprise PBM customizers and Leverage Enterprise GPO data for regional payer pull through efforts
  • Ensure accuracy of internal metrics including, Lives/MMIT maintenance, Sales, Formulary status and Clients
  • Customer facing opportunities as identified and laid out by each Account across the vertical integration.
  • Interface with Operations & Analytics on data and analytics tools, Contract Business Case development, contract forecast and contract terms & conditions, understanding language intent and meaning
  • Partner with Operations & Analytics to incorporate post-deal analytics into ongoing strategy reviews.

  • 2+ Years of defining, tracking and analyzing key performance measures and make appropriate data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Results driven ability to develop, execute and maintain customer level strategic account plans
  • Experience building joint business plans with customers
  • Ability to be a self-starter, navigate white space and identify new opportunities to impact customers and patients
  • Leadership experience including presentation skills, matrix management and communication and a proven ability to understand strategy and apply across teams, materials, and customers.
  • Experience influencing without direct authority across cross-functional teams, working effectively in complex situations and listens/incorporates different perspectives across medical, clinical, commercial, customer and other functions
  • Generates multiple novel ideas, solutions, and strategic options to deliver long-term benefits to customer and GSK
  • Proven ability to work with and influence internal brand marketing teams on key strategies and business plans, while maintaining relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • Understanding of reimbursement and control mechanisms by payer/PBMs
  • Understanding of the account planning process, has deep knowledge of the managed care industry and healthcare trends
  • Understanding of the laws and regulations covering providers and payers and the ability to apply Compliance Policies and Procedures (CPP) in unstructured and fluid situations
