Senior Motion Graphics Designer

GEICO Marketing's Creative Services department is looking for an experienced Senior Motion Graphics Designer to help lead the marketing of one of the nation's most-recognized brands. As the Senior Motion Graphics designer, you will help lead the department in creating high quality, effective, and engaging video content and animated assets for use across a wide variety of media, including social, display, mobile and emerging platforms. We are looking for a highly conceptual creative who understands how to translate overarching strategy into visually captivating video content. You are an expert at understanding the social and digital landscape, effectively applying best practices to content creation, delivering quality creative in a fast-paced environment – all while consistently maintaining and upholding the integrity of the GEICO Brand standards.

This role reports into the Creative Lead of Creative Services and will potentially manage a direct report.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years' creative agency or company experience
• Superb visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create highly impactful, unique solutions
• Familiarity with best practices in creating high-performing assets for paid social (by platform) and programmatic display
• Excellent Motion graphics skills and animation timing
• Effective understanding of typography, animation timing, general layout and composition
• Expertise in creating work using After Effects, and Premier
• Comfortable working in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Graphic design experience is a must (layout design using brand standards)
• 1-2 years mentoring, coaching, development of designers
• Experience designing landing pages
• Understands optimization and export of file type/size for various platforms and channels including mobile

Nice to Have:

• UI/UX knowledge
• 3D design experience

• Ability to storyboard concepts
• Translates value propositions and brand messaging into compelling visual executions
• Can interpret and appropriately apply feedback

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create impactful video assets and content for Paid social and Programmatic/Display channels as well as animation for email (incl. CRM platforms), content for internal Communications, and more
• Audit existing content materials (film footage, animated graphics) to re-purpose for newly created assets as needed
• Participate in concept development/brainstorming sessions with the solutions team
• Collaborate with copywriters, strategy teams and other designers to ensure all creative deliverables are grounded in data, appropriate messaging and design
• Work with creative iteration vendors to identify and onboard tools to aid in high-volume production of assets, based on test metrics, direction and security requirements
• Inform the GEICO brand guidelines for all things Motion, to build out the most effective Motion Design system
