Sr. Demo Engineer, AWS Technical Product Marketing

East Palo Alto, California, United States Amazon Full time

Are you a hands-on technologist who loves the art of telling the most compelling stories about what cloud solutions can do for customers by building engaging, high-quality, and well-designed demos? Do you like working with product and field teams, as well as customers directly, to understand what the best ways might be to showcase innovative technologies solving real-life business problems for customers? Yes? We have a role you will find interesting.

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Demo Engineers in the Technical Product Marketing team work backwards from their understanding of customer and field requirements as well as their deep experience in various different AWS capabilities and services to build a range of different demo assets (e.g. live, recorded videos, click-through, etc.,) that help us show our customers (rather than tell them) the value proposition of our offerings. In this role you will leverage your experience as a technologist who has worked directly with customers and developers, and work with product teams and other marketing colleagues and "join the dots" to determine what the best demos are that we can build for a range of scenarios, products, and use cases. The demo assets you build will be used in a variety of different venues (e.g. on our website, by our field teams in direct customer engagements, at tradeshows, during keynote presentations, etc.)

AWS is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. Demos will incorporate various different sets of these services and capabilities (including Analytics, Developer Tools, Compute, Databases, Generative AI, Observability, Security) – and you'll also have a chance to get hands-on with new offerings while they are being developed, so that when we launch a new offering we can show it to our customers in the most powerful way possible.

We are looking for builders who have experience working with customers and developers, and in using our services directly to build prototypes or solutions. In particular we are looking for individuals who can work with a number of different technologies, come up to speed quickly on new services, and iterate rapidly so that we can build a wide range of demos that can help our customers understand how our offerings can provide meaningful value to them.

This role can sit in any of the following locations: East Palo Alto, CA, USA | New York, NY, USA | San Francisco, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA Relocation to these locations only from within the USA only.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with field and marketing teams to guide prioritization of the catalog of demo assets that we need

• Creation of high-quality demo artifacts that will show our offerings, and how they work, to customers in the most compelling way

• Enable others to deliver the best demos to customers (including enabling others to self-service)

• Involvement in the generation of content artifacts (presentations, demos, etc.) that can be leveraged broadly to educate customers on our offerings

• Working closely with other AWS teams to ensure these what we build gets used broadly and in the right places (e.g. website, field engagements, AWS Summits, other AWS sales and marketing channels)
