HazTrain is seeking an experienced Hazardous Waste Environmental Technician for our project at McGuire AFB, NJ. Successful candidate will have 5 years' experience and be proficient in hazardous waste identification, generators' requirements, and responsibilities for RCRA waste generation and storage; a full understanding of DOT guidelines for shipping hazmat/hazwaste materials; knowledge and experience with EESOH-MIS; and be capable of obtaining a CDL w/hazmat endorsement. Experience working at a RCRA permitted Part B Hazardous Waste Storage Facility preferred.

The job will include:
packaging, labeling, and storing (segregating and consolidation) hazardous wastepicking up hazardous waste from generation sites around the base and transporting to the 90-day facilitytracking hazardous waste from 'cradle-to-grave' using the USAF's database (EESOH-MIS)profiling of wastespreparing waste for shipment, to include preparation of manifestsregulatory inspections of HazWaste sitesrecycling activities

Candidate must:

· Have a valid driver's license

· Be able to wear protective clothing, and hearing & eye protection

· Be current in RCRA, HAZWOPER, and DOT training

· Be able to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs

· Have some computer skills (MS Office and database)

· Be able to pass federal background check and drug screen.
