Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Lab Scientist to join our team at Saint Luke's Health System. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing medical laboratory testing in a CLIA-certified laboratory, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of laboratory results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform medical laboratory testing in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple technical tasks with maximum efficiency and minimal waste.
  • Report laboratory results in the Hospital LIS/EMR, as ordered by providers.
  • Review and approve quality control results to affirm validity of patient results.
  • Maintain instrumentation and confirm acceptable performance.
  • Use education and experience to identify and resolve technical, instrumental, and physiological issues that interfere with accurate testing.
  • Work collaboratively with Manager and Medical Laboratory Scientists and recognize scenarios that require assistance.
Requirements
  • Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) - American Society for Clinical Pathology
  • Associate Degree
