Position: Counselor Case ManagerCompany: Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI)

LSSI is a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing healing, justice, and support to individuals and communities. With over 150 years of experience, LSSI continues to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families across the State of Illinois. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a full-time Counselor Case Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling services for adults with substance abuse disorders
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling in a clinical and culturally sensitive manner
  • Coordinate and facilitate counseling sessions and psychoeducation programs
  • Offer case management services including assessment, treatment planning, and monitoring
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client progress
  • Collaborate with team members and external partners to deliver quality care
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain professionalism in all interactions

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's or master's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in substance abuse field preferred
  • LSW, LPC, LCSW, or CADS certification required, or must obtain within 2 years of hire
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 and ASAM criteria
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records
