The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team builds technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon's WW impact on the Environment (i.e., Carbon, Water, Waste, etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans, ensuring credibility through standards and validations, and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazon's global business teams.

The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team is looking for a product leader to build scalable data pathways for tracking carbon abatements within our measurement system. Key job responsibilities

  • Comfortably sort through urgency and opportunity to continuously deliver for customers while maintaining progress towards long term targets
  • Collaborate with groups of experts and cross-functional colleagues in an agile environment
  • Discover, define, and apply scientific, engineering, and business best practices to customer problems
  • Work on a variety of challenging problems that have to potential to significantly impact sustainability objectives
  • Work with cross-functional leaders (e.g. sustainability experts, scientists, economists, engineers, etc.) to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable, distributed services

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market.
