About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Validation Engineer to join our team at Leggett & Platt Incorporated. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining test procedures and test controllers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain test controllers based on customer specifications.
  • Develop software used for test controllers and analysis of test data.
  • Develop and define test procedures consistent with customer specifications.
  • Support Engineering, Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Prototype departments on testing issues.
  • Plan, recommend, and implement new test requirements, procedures, and equipment required to support the product test and development needs of the company.
  • Write work instructions and provide technical training to Test Lab personnel regarding new test procedures and new equipment.
  • Participate actively in the requirement to retain ISO/TS16949/ISO14001 certification.
  • Responsible for knowing and upholding the H&S Policy and for working in a safe manner and reporting all unsafe or unhealthy conditions or acts.
  • Complete any other assignments, duties, and projects that may be assigned.
Requirements
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electro/Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 years related experience within an ISO/TS16949 automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical design background.
  • Knowledge of testing methodology and procedures.
  • Must understand quality/manufacturing methods and practices.
  • Understand technical information received or issued by/to the int/external customer or supplier e.g. material spec's, testing methods, schedules, etc.
  • Able to communicate verbally or in writing, accurate information to internal/external customers.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, BPCS.
