What you will do

We are looking for a seasoned capital markets leader to drive our newly created private credit investment strategy.

The incumbent will be a key member of the team responsible for originating and recommending large cap private credit ("LCPC") investments that are typically sourced through investment banks, private equity sponsors and other intermediaries.

PGIM Fixed Income is also working to leverage our existing private equity sponsor relationships, as we are often among the largest lenders in a capital structure.

Our reputational advantage is expected to lead to strong sourcing capabilities.


This position is performed in a hybrid manner with a mix of work performed from our office in Newark, NJ and remotely.

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees meet with their team in the office on set days of the week and can work remotely the remainder of the week.

Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration and may be required during group specific events (Town Halls, etc.).

What you can expect

  • Sourcing and originating LCPC transactions; and presenting recommendations to the Senior Credit Leadership and Private Credit Investment Committee
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with sponsors, investment banks, private equity firms, and other thirdparty intermediaries through networking and marketing activities
  • Presenting the investment thesis and positioning to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing deal, product and market specific expertise to help drive growth of the LCPC strategy
  • Assisting the Private Credit team in underwriting investment opportunities
  • Participating in the firm's marketing and fundraising efforts as needed
What you will bring

  • 10+ years' experience in the fixed income industry
  • 10+ years of private debt/alternatives experience establishing relationships with sponsors, banks and other intermediaries
  • Welldeveloped network of sponsor and banking contacts required
  • 5+ years credit underwriting experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and investment skills
  • Ability to distill and then to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to a variety of decision makers and audiences
  • Excellent marketing and client relationship skills
  • Strong organizational awareness skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA and/or CFA preferred
  • Ability to travel is essential

Note:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations.

The salary range for this role is from $200,000 to $225,000 Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.

Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
