Position Overview:

As a Fixed Income Portfolio Strategy Analyst at The Capital Group Companies, Inc., you will leverage your expertise to contribute significantly to our investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your comprehensive knowledge in fixed income markets to implement investment strategies through collaboration with the Investment Group and Trading teams.
  • Engage in daily monitoring of fixed income markets, assisting in portfolio construction and order generation.
  • Resolve complex issues by coordinating with various stakeholders, including the Investment Group, Trading, and Global Investment Control (GIC).

Portfolio Management:
  • Actively track and analyze risk and return metrics of portfolios, generating insightful reports and developing spreadsheet models to aid decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flows within portfolios, communicating essential needs to investment professionals.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Strategists and Fund Portfolio Managers to construct and replicate accounts based on communicated investment convictions.

Process Improvement:
  • Identify and propose enhancements to existing processes, ensuring timely completion of tasks while managing workflows effectively.
  • Serve as a key resource for portfolio construction inquiries, providing expertise to other business units and facilitating cross-functional projects.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-8 years of experience in the investment management sector, specifically with fixed-income investments.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of investment strategy replication and the securities business.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and demonstrate analytical skills in high-complexity environments.
