Hapa PDX is accepting resumes for a prep & line cook position.
This position's training and responsibilities include:
- Prepping toppings for ramen, poke, and appetizers
- Opening and closing ramen and appetizer lines
- Work appetizer and ramen lines during shift
- Basic knife and kitchen skills
- Cut and portion chicken, pork, and fish
- Cook main broth 1 2x per week
- Keeping a clean and organized workstation
- Knowledge of Asian cuisine a plus
- Attention to detail and presentation of bowls/plates
This position may involve:
- Delivering food items to tables
- Bussing tables in a friendly way
- Occasionally closing dishpit
- Some deep cleaning of hood and other equipment
- Creating specials and seasonal dishes
- Reliable person who is available nights & weekends
- Someone who likes clean dishes and staying busy
- Willingness to grow with the team
- Flexibility we come from food cart roots where every team member did every position.
- Creativity and thinking ahead
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
