Job Description:

Responsible for providing direct patient and family treatment within the Addiction Services program. Provides screening, assessment, individual/family/group counseling, education lectures along with treatment and discharge planning.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Screen for admission to addiction services.
  • Patient/Family Assessment.
    • Participates in comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment of patient.
    • Assesses family dynamics and implications that may affect successful treatment.
    • Assesses and addresses educational needs of patients and families - assign appropriate work.
  • Facilitates group, individual and family therapy.
  • Treatment Planning.
    • Completes referrals to internal and external services.
    • Promotes family involvement in treatment.
    • Discharges planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • Experience in treatment program work

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years treatment program work experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Temporary permit and working towards full LADC Licensure. Must obtain LADC licensure prior to temporary permit expiration
  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
    Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
    Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
    Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
