The University of Holy Cross invites applications for the position of Instructor – Radiologic
Technology Program. The position starts August 5, 2024. It will remain open until filled. Review

Position Description
The Radiologic Technology Program Instructor must demonstrate commitment to the mission of
the University to educate the minds and hearts of its students as well as support the goals of the
Radiologic Technology Program. This position is responsible for clinical and didactic instruction
of students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology Program's Professional Training Component.
Responsibilities include: Preparing and planning lecture, clinical and laboratory instruction in the
assigned Radiologic Technology program courses in accordance with course curriculum and
learning outcomes, preparing and correcting student examinations and work assignments, and
evaluating student performance in lecture and clinical/laboratory courses. The instructor must
also schedule student conferences to review individual student progress., hold regular office
hours (may be virtual), and provide student academic advisement. Additional responsibilities
include facilitating student scheduling and training in clinical settings, maintaining student
attendance records, supporting the Program Director in evaluating and revising program
curriculum, learning outcomes and program assessment. The instructor will also assist in student
recruitment and community activities, attend faculty meetings, and travel to educational
facilities.

Qualifications
Position requires a bachelor's degree; a master's degree is preferred. Must possess current,
unrestricted certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure
from the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners. Two years of full-time
professional experience as a radiographer is required. One year of experience as an instructor
(full-time or adjunct) in an accredited radiography program is preferred. Basic knowledge of
educational methods such as curriculum design, writing student learning outcomes, lesson
planning, testing design, and clinical performance assessment is strongly desired. Must possess
exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, proven ability to work
effectively with a wide range of constituents, and skills in establishing and managing priorities
and deadlines.

Compensation is commensurate with credentials, background, and experience.
