Be our next Electrical Engineer (Mining)

Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Mining Team, based in Denver Colorado, Raleigh North Carolina or any of our Florida offices.

What a day at EXP has in store for you
  • PLC, Power, Automation and instrumentation mining experience required
  • Responsible for meeting firm's engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects.
  • Oversees development of design concepts by Designers, and ensure proper application and execution.
  • Verifies Designer's work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
  • Responsible for applying the EXP's risk management practices of electrical engineering.
  • Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.
  • Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions.
  • Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
  • Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.
  • Perform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projects.
  • Contributes to revisions of EXP'sdesign standards and master specifications
  • Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
  • Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.
  • Develops electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.
  • Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews
    What your experience looks like
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University
    • PE Preferred
    • At least 3 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry

      The pay range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
