About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering team in Denver, CO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for complex projects, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop electrical engineering teams to complete projects of varying sizes and complexity
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
  • Mentor and train junior staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement electrical design standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus six years of related design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional Engineer license
  • US Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience scoping and drafting fees for engineering components of interdisciplinary project work
  • Experience in strategic management of an engineering group
  • Experience forecasting business plans for an engineering group
  • Able to use advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments
  • Experienced in Electrical Power Calculation Software
  • Experienced in application of National Electrical Code
  • Working knowledge of NFPA, ISA, IEEE Regulatory Codes
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft programs and BIM software (primarily Revit and AutoCAD)
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
