Position Summary:
We are seeking an Estimator to contribute to our operations in the electrical sector. This role involves the preparation of bid documents, cost assessments, and final proposals for various electrical projects. The Estimator will liaise with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, building officials, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in design and estimating sessions with Senior Account Managers and Project Management to strategize and prepare workflows for accurate and timely estimates and proposals.
  • Organize and analyze bid document packages from the initial bid opportunity to the final price proposal.
  • Thoroughly review RFP documents, including project schedules, general conditions, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Compile essential project statistics, including identifying the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), Effective Sales Rates, Electrical Contractor Licensing Requirements, and GSA per diems.
  • Prepare and manage outgoing vendor bid packages and incoming vendor proposals, ensuring compliance with company RFQ and project specifications.
  • Engage in design-build value engineering solutions, contributing to cost comparative analysis deliverables.
  • Create and revise proposals for current and prospective projects.
  • Utilize Accubid estimating software to create and modify estimates.
  • Participate in preconstruction and post-bid discussions with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to project closeout and review processes.
  • Occasionally conduct site visits as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of estimating concepts, with the ability to quantify and measure electrical installation methods.
  • Familiarity with Accubid or similar estimating software.
  • Experience in roles such as Electrical Estimator, Electrical Engineer, or similar positions within the construction industry.
  • A valid Master or JM electrician license is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • This position requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, and the ability to focus on detailed work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Minimal travel may be required on an as-needed basis.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $70,000 - $110,000 per year. Benefits include 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
