Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Manage employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policies.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Oversee all financial aspects of projects through continuous job forecasting.
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings to ensure smooth transitions from estimating to field operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with prefabrication and design teams.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations for foremen.
  • Negotiate and resolve customer concerns efficiently.
  • Manage project closeout procedures comprehensively.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to foremen.
  • Develop and maintain a professional network within the industry.
  • Daily responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and maintaining monthly/bi-weekly cost reports (profit projections and work in progress)
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors
  • Coordinating with the General Superintendent regarding project manpower needs
  • Preparing and maintaining the schedule of values and pay applications throughout the project
  • Creating and implementing project schedules
  • Managing change orders and logs
  • Overseeing and planning each electrical project from pre-construction to completion
  • Demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion
  • Overseeing daily project coordination
  • Approving vendor invoices for payment
  • Addressing ongoing project RFIs
  • Reviewing addendums and changes for construction purposes
  • Maintaining communication between the company, general contractors, subcontractors, and owners/developers throughout the construction process
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree (electrical engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience as an electrical project manager (experience with large projects and OSHA 30 certification preferred)
  • Prior experience in electrical estimating
  • Proficiency in Accubid Anywhere or similar estimating software is highly desirable
  • Ability to create and update project schedules to track task completion
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and low voltage systems
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • This position requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Attention to detail for accuracy is essential.
  • Ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
  • Capability to check multiple data sources.
