About this role

The Supplier Quality Engineer II will play a key part in leading performance improvement of suppliers and increasing the supplier's capabilities to consistently meet Boston Scientific's requirements. This role will assess suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities, and develop corrective action plans where necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and a proven track record of improving supplier performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities
• Developing corrective action plans where necessary
• Investigating field failures related to supplier materials
• Developing solutions to complex problems of diverse scope and complexity
• Exercising authority and judgment within generally defined practices and policies

What we're looking for in you:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical fields such as materials science, chemical, or mechanical engineering
• 5 years of related experience or master's degree and 3 years of related experience
• Experience with problem-solving quality tools and CAPA
• Experience in working with mechanical or electrical suppliers
• Domestic and international travel up to 10%
• Experience with technical documentation

Ability to communicate cross-functionally, with suppliers, team members, and leadership. Experience with or lead auditor certification to ISO 13485, 9001, TS 16949 standards is preferred.
