Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports the national Provider Directory Accuracy program which includes developing and executing automated and ad hoc extract solutions for batching, reporting, and analyzing large volumes of provider and program data with the highest level of quality.
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
  • Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
  • Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Perform complex conceptual analyses
  • Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement
  • May lead functional or segment projects or initiatives
  • Provide explanations and information to others on the most complex issues and data scenarios
  • Strong emphasis will include managing and tracking details pertaining to large volumes of provider data

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Data Analysis experience with at least 1 year in Healthcare Data (preferably provider and/or claims data)
  • 2+ years of SQL database programming skills and solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase)
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access
  • Intermediate level of Database Administration experience
  • Intermediate to advanced VBA skills (or prior programming/scripting experience in another language)
  • Experience with large data sets with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to write your own code/query

Preferred Qualifications:

  • R programming language
  • Macro building experience
  • PowerBI Configuration
  • Experience in administrating cross functional projects
  • Solid organizational and interpersonal skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
