We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Vice President of Product Design and User Experience to lead our product design team and user experience team. This executive role is responsible for shaping and driving the design vision, strategy, and execution across all product lines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product design, a passion for innovation, and the ability to foster a creative and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product design strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and prioritize product design initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of design innovation.

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of designers, including UX/UI designers, motion designers, visual design, interaction design, and graphic designers.Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the design team.Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top design talent.

Design Execution:

Ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-centered designs that meet customer needs and enhance the overall user experience.Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and seamless product development processes.Advocate for design thinking and user-centric methodologies across the organization.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to align design initiatives with business objectives and customer requirements.Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership, stakeholders, and customers.Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors.

Operational Excellence:

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of design initiatives.Manage the design budget, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.Implement and optimize design processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading design teams and delivering innovative, high-quality products.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of design projects and accomplishments.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in [specific industry, if applicable].Knowledge of front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Experience with Agile or Lean methodologies.Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
