What will you do?
  • Lead and coordinate the employee aspect of your assigned work group to boost efficiency. This involves tasks like staff hiring and termination, conducting annual reviews, providing training, coaching, resolving conflicts, and implementing disciplinary actions.
  • Utilize SAP to handle material flow transactions. Train team members, new and existing, on using PCs, software, relevant PLC interfaces, and instrumentation.
  • Empower employees to independently carry out their tasks to the expected standard by equipping them with the necessary knowledge, training, and tools, and creating training resources when needed.
  • Aid in the implementation of new equipment at the site, create SOPs, and complete product qualification stages on new machinery.
  • Validate critical control point (CCP) instrumentation within the fermentation and cultures production process to ensure compliance with established quality assurance, GMP, and regulatory protocols.
  • Contribute to the development of finite production schedules at weekly planning meetings. Coordinate daily operator activities to meet production processing requirements and plan adherence.
  • Report all equipment and instrumentation malfunctions promptly for repair, and help diagnose issues to ensure timely resolutions. Initiate maintenance work orders.
  • Collaborate with the Process Development project team to optimize yields and processing parameters. Engage in process troubleshooting and HACCP teams for continuous enhancement of current and new process equipment.
  • Ensure and supervise the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of equipment, facility sanitation, and housekeeping procedures to comply with internal programs and regulatory standards.
  • Drive facility initiatives for continual improvement in separating, sorting, scrubbing, standardizing, and systematizing (5S).
  • Maintain production tracking records, reports, and spreadsheets for monthly production efficiency reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Handle the scheduling of all production personnel. Approve vacation requests, arrange coverage, post weekly schedules for employees, and update Kronos schedules and time off requests daily. Approve time cards in Kronos weekly.
What will you need to be successful?
  • Preferably hold a four-year degree in engineering, food technology, or business.
  • Have 2 to 5 years of experience in a food plant or related field. Leadership background is advantageous.
  • Possess experience with SAP.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Compensation details

The typical salary range for this position is $62,906 to $92,755 annually, influenced by factors like education, work experience, certifications, and location, among others. Besides your salary, Kerry provides a full benefits package, incentive and recognition schemes, equity stock purchase options, and retirement contributions (all subject to eligibility criteria).
