Where you come in:

The Beatsource and DJcity Social Media Manager acts as the brand's gatekeeper across all social media platforms. This role focuses on strategy development, brand management, and overseeing the overall performance of social media initiatives. Key responsibilities include contributing to creative strategy and ideation, andmanaging day-to-day activities such as content posting and community engagement. This role is flexible hybrid and will be based from the Beatport Los Angeles office (at least 3 days per week) so candidates will require a valid permit to live and work in the USA and be within a commutable range of our office in LA.

As Social Media Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Strategy Development: Collaborating with the Head of Social Media to craft and implement strategies and goals for Beatsource and DJcity.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensuring consistent brand messaging and aesthetics across all social media channels for Beatsource and DJcity.
  • Content Supervision: Guiding content direction, working closely with the creative team to maintain the brand voice and vision across social media.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Analyzing social media performance metrics to inform strategy adjustments and report findings to senior management. Generating insights to optimize strategies and achieve KPIs.
  • Day-to-Day Management: Overseeing daily tasks, ensuring high standards in scheduling, posting content, and engaging with the online community. Responding to inquiries and fostering positive relationships with followers.
  • Creative Ideation: Developing new content series using insights from reports, trends, and your creative knowledge.
  • Monitoring: Social media trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead of the curve.

As Social Media Manager you will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media for a brand, either in-house or agency side.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their nuances, and behaviors.
  • Experience creating strategic briefs for creative teams.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools and proficient in analytics, interpreting data into actionable insights and ideas.
  • Proven track record of managing accounts on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for creative content creation.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • You live and breathe the DJ scene and are deeply connected to the Los Angeles culture and nightlife, you know the ins and outs of the local DJ community across all genres of music.
  • Passionate about capturing the vibe of events, you are well-versed in shooting videos on your phone and create engaging content on the fly. (Not Essential)
  • Experienced with CapCut and other social specific editing tools. (Not Essential)
  • Spanish speaker. (Not Essential)
