Eaton's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking an Operations Manager. This role is based at our manufacturing facility in Washington, PA and offers relocation assistance.

As the electrical industry's global leader for explosion proof and hazardous environments, Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Business is constantly pushing forward and looking ahead, advancing electrical and instrumentation products in new and innovative ways. Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Business manufactures over 100,000 products for NEC and IEC applications, including: conduit fittings and cable glands, industrial control and electrical apparatus, enclosures, industrial luminaires (including LED), plugs and receptacles, drilling and marine products, commercial construction and solar solutions. Washington, PA is the home of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds commercial outlet box facility which manufactures steel boxes, covers, and pre-fabricated electrical assemblies. Manufacturing 1.3 million units per week, this highly automated and fast paced environment places a high value on talented professionals that are focus on problem solving and efficiency.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $ $ a year.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for managing, directing, planning, and coordinating of the Steel department. As our business expands, this position would represent the operational side of the business through its growth. With responsibility to oversee 4 supervisors and ~100 direct and indirect workers, you are gaining experience to move into increasingly dynamic and strategic roles within Eaton.

In this function you will:

Through frequent contact with Plant Manager and other members of management, participate in planning and/or decision making in matters concerning financial and operational problems, inventory control, plant policy and facility/maintenance issues and staffing.Coordinate execution of manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy customer requirements.Maintain and track adequate metrics to ensure levels of performance are known and improved upon.Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency, quality, service, and continuous improvement in operating profits. Implement and enforce all policies, practices, and benefits to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all people working at the facility.Communicate and demonstrate the Eaton best practices, ethics, values, and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization. Develop, motivate, and coach employees as necessary, including performance management. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, supplies, contractors, and key intra-company people to effectively manage the operation for best results.Ensure thorough training and daily audits that safe practices are constantly employed throughout the facility. Ensure all functional areas have accurate, timely information.Actively participate in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements and process standardization.Review order exception reports to identify root cause and takes appropriate corrective action. Assist in the creation of training plans and programs and promote cross-training opportunities.
Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution Minimum five (5) years of experience in an Operations or Manufacturing environmentMinimum two (2) years of leadership experienceMust be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.Master's degree or MBAExperience with Lean/Six Sigma.Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.Direct managerial experience within Operations or Manufacturing environment.Stamping or Tooling experience
