Position Overview:We are looking for a Culinary Operations Manager to lead Pirate Ventures newly created culinary operations division. As a Culinary Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary department, from menu development to execution, as well as operating a catering and central commissary kitchen.

Responsibilities:1.

Culinary Strategy and Menu Development:

  • Develop a culinary vision and strategy that aligns with our company"s brand and target market.
  • Create menus that cater to various guest preferences, dietary requirements, and event types.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams, including sales and daily operations, to Deliver the Unexpected to our both our daily service and event guests. 2.

Culinary Operations Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, production, and execution for catering events.
  • Hire and train in unit daily service teams, including kitchen managers and crew, ensuring they receive proper training, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency in culinary operations.
  • Enforce cost management, maintain P&L statement for culinary department. 3.

Culinary Team Leadership:

  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the culinary team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Nurture talent within the team, identifying potential and promoting professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement 4.

Culinary Excellence and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, actively promoting a safe and clean working environment.
  • Monitor the food production process, paying meticulous attention to taste, presentation, and consistency.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, culinary techniques, and best practices, implementing them to enhance our offerings.
Qualifications:- Commitment to and alignment with the company"s core values -Be a relentless perfectionist with a positive attitude who has a high level of attention to mastering the minutia and competitive spirit -Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 -Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry, catering experience strongly preferred-Must have initiative and strong interpersonal skills -Evenings and weekends will be required -Proof of DC Food Handler's certification required prior to start of employment -Ability to accommodate and adapt to high stress situations by effective decision making
