Every individual at Maui Divers Jewelry has a unique skill set that contributes to and drives the Maui Divers Jewelry brand.
The primary responsibility will be to achieve targeted gross margin and profit goals for a specific business unit. The position will have continued focus on selecting the right merchandise mix to meet or exceed company goals and will effectively utilize extensive knowledge of merchandising concepts and management techniques to maximize retail selling space and ROI
Essential Functions:
Partners with Director of Merchandise to develop product and determine private brand assortment. Conduct trend research to interpret trends and lifestyles for the design and launch of market ready jewelry. Provide strategic direction to marketing brands. Completes all follow-up and all placements to ensure product specifications, quality standards, and deadlines are met as contracted. Follow all details, pricing strategies, and timing directives. Develop merchandise assortment plans, and set seasonal merchandise goals, proper pricing and track sales performance. Add or delete merchandise mix to ensure success.
Partner with Design, Retail, Manufacturing, Internet, and Marketing and related internal teams regarding retail mark-ups, merchandise flow, and on-time merchandise delivery.
Ensures products conform to any or all legal requirements and is packaged and labeled appropriately.Keeps a line of communication open and constant between all participants in development process and on what pertains to the business for the best results for the company.
Fosters working relationships between all parties involved in the development and production of private branded merchandise for the company. Communication with Factory to ensure design's vision is brought to life with design integrity upheld. Coordinate with merchandising and design to devise the market calendars.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Participate in regular design review meetings with cross-functional category partners. Liaison with vendors in product development process to ensure samples are progressing on track.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Requires a true jewelry professional who understands today's fashion trends who can interpret to fit our merchandise assortment. Computer skills-Word/Excel, Outlook. Strong analytical skills with effective communication skills, time management, organizational skills, ability to be detail and multi-task oriented. Ability to manage several projects at the same time. Self-motivated and a problem solver and thinks outside the box. EDUCATION AND
Experience:
o Bachelor degree o 5-10 years expertise working for a progressive national jewelry manufacturer or retailer in a mass market, department store, or specialty store environment.

$20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
