Pharmacy Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Buyer to join our team at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. As a Pharmacy Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of pharmaceuticals and supplies to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

• Purchasing and maintaining adequate inventory levels to ensure medication and supply availability
• Coordinating annual physical inventory, minimum stock levels, and proper assignment of cost accounting codes
• Developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory management and reduce costs
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• One year of pharmacy purchasing or three years of pharmacy technician experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We also welcome candidates with:

• An associate's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
• Inventory management experience
