Job Summary
Perform routine scientific tasks under supervision or from detailed and controlled lab procedures, including Microbiological techniques, realtime qPCR and arrays, PCR, DNA/RNA extractions for amplicon synthesis, Confocal Microscopy, Fluorescence microscopy, 2D and 3D culture techniques, Immunofluorescence labeling, and Western blot analysis.
Perform experiments to test scientific hypotheses for the project following the aims of the Principal Investigator's project. Gather scientific data and provide research data to the Principal Investigator. Organize and maintain records according to established procedures. Perform routine analysis. General duties to provide upkeep for the lab facility. Assist in monitoring the inventory of lab supplies. Organize and maintain supplies necessary for the conduct of research studies.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
