KARL STORZ is currently recruiting at Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting. This position will support: month-end and year-end close, analysis & reporting, Accounts Receivable, Liquidity, the transformation of these processes, the standard work, internal controls, including intercompany routine and quarter end and statutory procedures. Routine duties in addition: year-end statutory, reporting and business partnering. Project duties will range from transformation and improvement of shared service processes inside KARL STORZ's internal controls framework, to assisting manufacturing and purchasing and supply chain operations in improving/ simplifying end-to-end business processes, eliminating waste whilst adhering to robust internal controls and compliance standards.

This is a hybrid position that is based in our Charlton, MA office and required to work onsite 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Partner with department heads in understanding cost drivers and variances to achieve productivity targetsDraft high-quality commentary for monthly financial statementsIdentify and investigate discrepanciesFollow transactions through SAP, address issues with ITPrepare account reconciliations, research, and book correctionsPrepare and post journal entriesPrepare supporting documents for external auditorsPrepare/distribute recurring deliverablesCreate documentation of accounting proceduresSuggest and implement process improvementsCapable of leading projects, with strong follow-up abilityProvides leadership and guidance to other AccountantsCapable of leading group trainingPrepares position papers, perform GAAP research onlineReconciles intercompany balances with subsidiaries Requirements 5+ years of experience; 2+ years of public accounting experience preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree in Accounting preferredStrong understanding of financial accounting and G/L transactionsExperience with accounting and cost accounting conceptsDemonstrated history of process improvement implementationStrong analytical skills to analyze complex data as a basis for process improvement recommendations and implement solutionsStrong skills in ExcelStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Available to work after normal business hours as needed to meet business needs and deadlines. Preferences Tableau knowledge (Preferred)Audit experience preferred.Experienced in SAP (Preferred) #LI-BL1
