Job Description SummarySenior Project Leader responsible for delivery of major projects for Services ACS activity including any long term services contracts attached. Services ACS Senior Project Leader is responsible for service project delivery, warranty, management of project related activities and resources, profit & loss accountability and customer relations and satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Delivery :

  • Perform customer order review and compare with the GE quote upon transfer of the project file from the Commercial group to Project management.
  • Lead the project kick-off meeting with all internal contributors and assign roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead the customer kick-off meeting to communicate the nature of the work that will be done and clarify any issues in the order.
  • Coordinate all activities related to the project.
  • Follow project spend vs budget (cost, materials, labor)
  • Lead and draft project follow-up meeting summaries (internal and external).
  • Follow-up on the project derogations.
  • Perform invoicing according to the contract terms.
  • Follow-up with GE procurement department on supplier deliveries
  • Communicate and inform the customer of project progress on a regular basis.
  • Produce the project Post-Mortem analysis report.
  • Perform the administrative closing of the project.
  • Long Term Services Delivery :
  • Management of long-term service projects
  • Closeout of project deficiencies and Punchlist items
  • Management of warranty and all after sales services.
  • Non-Turnkey Projects or Product/Equipment-Only Projects.
  • Responsible for overseeing the project and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Field
  • 10-15 years of work experience, with minimum 15 years of proved Project management experience (relevant to the role)
  • Proficiency Spoken & Written - English Must

Rôles et responsabilités

Livraison du projet :

  • Effectuer la révision des commandes des clients et comparer avec le devis GE lors du transfert du dossier de projet du groupe Commercial à la gestion de projet.
  • Diriger la réunion de lancement du projet avec tous les contributeurs internes et attribuer les rôles et les responsabilités.
  • Diriger la réunion de lancement du client pour communiquer la nature du travail qui sera effectué et clarifier tout problème lié à la commande.
  • Coordonner toutes les activités liées au projet.
  • Suivez les dépenses du projet par rapport au budget (coût, matériaux, main d'œuvre)
  • Diriger et rédiger les résumés des réunions de suivi du projet (internes et externes).
  • Suivi des dérogations du projet.
  • Effectuer la facturation selon les termes du contrat.
  • Suivi avec le service des achats de GE sur les livraisons des fournisseurs
  • Communiquer et informer régulièrement le client de l'avancement du projet.
  • Produire le rapport d'analyse Post-Mortem du projet.
  • Effectuer la clôture administrative du projet.
  • Prestation de services à long terme :
  • Gestion de projets de service à long terme
  • Clôture des lacunes du projet et des éléments de la liste de tâches
  • Gestion de la garantie et de tous les services après-vente.
  • Projets non clé en main ou projets de produits/équipements uniquement.
  • Responsable de la supervision du projet et de la direction et/ou de la gestion directe ou indirecte des ressources du projet
  • Possède une connaissance approfondie des meilleures pratiques et de la manière dont son propre domaine s'intègre aux autres ; possède une connaissance pratique de la concurrence et des facteurs qui les différencient sur le marché
  • Fait preuve de jugement pour prendre des décisions ou résoudre des tâches ou des problèmes moyennement complexes dans les domaines de la gestion opérationnelle/produit, de la fabrication, de la technologie ou de l'ingénierie. Prend une nouvelle perspective sur les solutions existantes.
  • Utilise l'expérience et l'expertise techniques pour l'analyse des données afin de soutenir les recommandations. Utilise plusieurs sources internes et externes limitées en dehors de sa propre fonction pour prendre des décisions.
  • Agit comme une ressource pour les collègues moins expérimentés.

Qualifications requises

  • BS dans le domaine du génie électrique ou mécanique
  • 10 à 15 ans d'expérience professionnelle, avec au moins 15 ans d'expérience avérée en gestion de projet (pertinent pour le poste)
  • Maîtrise parlée et écrite - Anglais indispensable
