You are responsible for the on time, on budget delivery of projects for our customers post sale. You create the ultimate cohesive unit for our project teams and the customers you represent. You are responsible for setting expectations and creating and executing both long term and short term plans that will meet your customer's goals and accelerate Cognite's footprint in your customers' technology landscape. You will connect with key stakeholders, assign tasks, address blockers, manage risks and report progress to leadership clearly and concisely. You will be the bridge between your customers and Cognite's Engineering and Product Management teams and advise on development priorities. As part of the broader account teams, you will need to enjoy working closely with people to solve challenging problems and be able to understand complex technology. You will be expected to quickly understand Cognite's offering so that you can connect the customer's desired outcome with Cognite's software and drive successful project deliveries which will ultimately lead to increased adoption and revenue growth.

Senior Implementation Project Managers are champions of learning, process improvement, and project management standards so you need to be aware of the latest developments, standards and tools in the industry. You will coach other team members, drive results, and work with project teams to build best practices, methodologies and execution standards to achieve milestones both for Cognite and for the customer.

This role is a hybrid role based our of our office in Houston or Austin, Texas.

What You'll Do

  • The Senior Implementation Project Manager is the leader for multiple, concurrent and complex implementation projects that vary in size and scope. The Senior Implementation Project Manager is accountable for the following:
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Data Scientists, Solution Architects and Domain Experts to design, develop, and operationalize digital solutions across various industries including O&G, Manufacturing and Power & Utilities
  • Demo Cognite's products and solutions as needed to prospects and customers
  • Work with customers and account teams to define and scope success criteria and deliverables for Cognite's offerings as part of the Pre-Sale process
  • Confirm success criteria for each project with customers and build the project plans that will ensure value delivery within scope and budget
  • Oversee project execution including personnel assignment, project scheduling, and timely delivery
  • Manage a complex stakeholder landscape and provide clear, concise and complete communications to customer and Cognite's Leadership Team
  • Manage project risks, escalating where necessary but also taking ownership as needed to manage customer expectations
  • Get your customers' voices heard by clearly communicating product development priorities and business value to Cognite's Product and Engineering teams
  • Contribute to the wider Cognite team culture and development by collaborating on team initiatives and building best practices for repeatable implementation processesGuide decision making, build best practices, methodologies and drive project execution milestones and targets
  • Participate in hiring as we grow the project management team

Who You Are

  • 7+ years experience in leading technology implementation projects for Enterprise customers
  • Knowledge of project management processes, such as LEAN, Scrum, and Agile
  • Working knowledge of Design Think and human-centered design principles preferred
  • Experience in industrial digitalization projects or product development of IoT, cloud solutions, or machine learning
  • Knowledge of heavy asset industry – oil & gas, power & utilities, or manufacturing
  • Proven ability to execute on end-to-end SaaS project cycle-- scoping, delivery, training, and renewal
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes (customers, end-users, internal resources, partners, etc.)
  • Experience driving standards and motivating your teams towards measurable outcomes
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings and manage expectations
  • Bachelors in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or similar work experience (Masters/MBA preferred)
