1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:The Lead Data Governance Consultant is responsible for supporting Data Governance across the enterprise, enabling business growth while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory expectations. The position will be responsible for regulatory exam response coordination, including ensuring consistency in responses and artifacts for data related responses for exams held outside of EDA. The position partners with various business and technology stakeholders to influence and drive adoption of related Enterprise Data Management strategies, policies, standards and control frameworks. The role evaluates established and emerging data practices and technologies to drive the team's direction, while implementing innovative processes and solutions to provide competitive advantage while meeting rigorous control and oversight mandates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Facilitates supervisory exam responses and collection of corresponding artifacts for data related inquiries across all Business Units/Corporate Functions.
2. Collaborate with Regulatory Relations, Control Partners, Business Data Executives and Data Stewards across Business Units and Corporate Functions to proactively identify regulatory exam schedules and ensure consistency in responses/artifacts for data related inquiries.
3. Drafts and refines narratives in response to regulatory inquiries to ensure clarity around the actions taken to address deliverables.
4. Provide subject matter expertise in the planning and execution of data management activities such as data sourcing, metadata management, data quality, data privacy or records management.

5. Drive solution design and execution of multi-pronged data governance efforts that span across platforms and business/technology areas to address enterprise data needs.
6. Identify data issues and work with technology, risk and business partners to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and remediate the issues to closure.
7. Understand and integrate relevant regulations and industry trends into work plans, exploring emerging frameworks and assessing feasibility using proof of concepts.
8. Collaborate closely with peer teams to ensure coordination, synergy and seamless overall execution.
9. Champion and drive improvement in enterprise data management practices throughout the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in related field, ten years of experience in roles with increasing responsibilities in technology, data management, governance, risk or related practice or equivalent education and related training or experience
2. Large program strategic planning/execution across multiple functions

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other graduate or advanced-level certification
2. History of effective performance within shared service, matrix or federated environments
3. Internal or external consulting experience
4. Experience with formalized organizational assessment practices (e.g. Capability Maturity Model), including implementation of recommended improvements
5. Knowledge of data tools and platforms used for managing, storing, querying, testing, loading and transforming data (e.g. SAS, Informatica, Oracle, Teradata) or relevant data certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPM)

6. Experience with Regulatory exam responses

7. PMP certified
