We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at OneSource Regulatory Technology.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions to enhance job performance in the Pharmaceutical space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Ingestion: Develop and implement a strategy for pulling data from various sources, cleaning, normalizing, and loading it into databases.
  • Data Quality: Ensure data quality is top priority by developing and implementing a strategy for testing data integrity.
  • Web Scraping: Utilize expertise in parsing and synthesizing XML and/or JSON documents, as well as curating data that may involve intermediate to advanced web scraping techniques.
  • Database Management: Possess basic knowledge of SQL with PostGres, MySQL, and Google BigQuery, as well as No-SQL database knowledge with MongoDB or similar.
  • Cloud Technology: Familiarity with basic cloud technology, including storage buckets and cloud serverless functions.
  • Text and Image Extraction: Experience extracting text and images from PDF files.
  • Automation: Knowledge of Puppeteer or other automatable web client technologies.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Solid experience with Python and Python Libraries such as Pandas, requests, etc.
  • Soft Skills: Strong English skills, team player, and great communication skills.
Bonus Skills
  • Pharmaceutical Experience: Experience working within the Pharmaceutical Space.
  • Cloud Platform: Ability to expose data via C# NETCore and/or GraphQL, as well as Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Buckets, Google Cloud Functions).
  • Parallelization: Ability to parallelize data manipulation and scraping via Python multi-threading.
