Duties

  • Assists the Senior Counsel in the development of Legal Division strategies, goals, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Performs technical work in support of management analysis to evaluate and improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the organization.
  • Assist in development, implementation and oversight of the Division's succession planning efforts and workforce training program.
  • Assists the Senior Counsel in the development, design, implementation, and evaluation of the Legal Division's knowledge management program.
  • Coordinates with Division employees, managers, executives, and Corporate University to initiate the development of training, communication or other efforts to support Legal goals and initiatives, and to assess the effectiveness of these efforts.

    Qualifications

    Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as experience (1) developing a Division-wide knowledge management program; (2) forecasting, assessing, and evaluating operational and developmental training programs on the efficient operations of a division and support a strategic plan; AND (3) creating and maintaining databases to assist with the maintenance of data for qualitative and quantitative analysis.

There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.

If selected, you may be required to serve a probationary or trial period as applicable to appointment type.


Selectee(s) for this position will be required to report to their duty station office at least 1 day per pay period beginning January 2, 2024, and at their supervisor's direction to support mission and project needs.

In person reporting requirements are expected to increase in July 2024.
