In our Navigation & Sensor Solutions Hardware Engineering department, you will become part of a Component & Material Engineering Team supporting all Military GPS Products.
In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining component specifications.
  • Work with a variety of components and materials used in GPS Products.
  • Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers, Purchasing, Quality & Program Managers to resolve component issues in regard to obsolescence, technical changes, part shortages & failures.
  • Perform BOM Analysis on new designs.
  • Provide technical support in the resolution of complex commodity issues in the design and manufacturing environment.
  • Create and update documentation needed to support Program requirements.

  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills (Customers, Peers, Management and Suppliers)

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship or Permanent Resident status.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Must have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 2+ years of direct related experience
  • Knowledge of components, materials or processes used in the Electronics Industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on a cross-functional team
  • US Citizen
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Candidates with Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Past experience as a Component or Application Engineer
  • Experience with creating part specifications
  • Experience evaluating impacts from Part Change Notifications
  • Familiar with industry standards (IPC, ASTM, JEDEC)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $113400

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
