About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer II to join our Industrial Water/Wastewater business unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water/wastewater design and will be responsible for supporting our projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and independently complete assigned engineering designs.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project-related tasks and assign tasks and schedules to team members.
  • Check the accuracy of assigned tasks completed by other engineering and technical staff.
  • Makes major design decisions that meet the needs of external customers.
  • Pro-actively identifies technical, schedule, or financial issues and seeks resolution from the Project Manager and/or the client.
  • Assist the Client in bidding or contractor selection if authorized by the Project Manager.
  • Monitor construction and supervise field personnel assigned to a task.
  • Respond to contractor questions and issues and prepare and issue project addenda as needed.
  • Recommend and prepare change orders.
  • Participate in the creation of engineering services proposals.
  • Sign and seal engineering documents as an authorized representative of the company.
  • Independently communicate on technical matters with the client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university.
  • Professionally registered (P.E.) in one or more states in which HR Green conducts business.
  • Seven or more years of design/engineering experience.
  • Strong technical verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Capable of correctly operating technical analysis equipment and computer equipment.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must hold current registered Professional Engineer certification in one or more states in which HR Green conducts business.
  • Previous water/wastewater design experience required.
