Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

Performs all aspects of the application testing activities for a mobile application. Has developed significant specialized knowledge and process in testing related to healthcare and mobile. Leads, mentors and coaches Technical Test Analysts. The Technical Test Analyst II skills will help transform healthcare through technology and solutions that dramatically improve communication and business operations. Every project we pursue in HCA Information Technology and Services (ITG), every process and technology we develop, and every decision we make ultimately influence our healthcare community.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements for initiatives that are projected to return significant business value, may require a change to enterprise business solution(s).
  • Develops test approach, test plan, estimates and dependencies. Assists with performance and production readiness testing as necessary. Creates and supports automation scripts and scheduling as required.
  • Oversees, defines and writes functional specifications in support of the data quality requirements. Work with Project Development teams to understand the application, the process, and work with the team to improve the overall application.
  • Prepare testing estimates and risk assessments.
  • Provide documentation required by QACoE leadership.
  • Provide technical direction to QACoE team members; helping to ensure project testing activities are completed on-time and without delivery of critical defects to the field; ensuring team members are properly prepared and enabled to complete their assigned duties.
  • Provides defect reports and input to final test assessment. Accumulates metrics to track test results and solution quality. Provide project testing metrics and updates to project stakeholders; Lead difficult discussions with stake holders pertaining to project estimates, schedules and critical issues that would prevent go/no go.
  • Actively participates in Development planning meetings and communicates with business and IT on the status of testing activities and other assigned activities in meeting project delivery deadlines.
  • Helps define and implement operational and process improvements for testing activities; enables increase in quality of software delivered for testing through increased visibility of defects and delays.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree Preferred
  • High School Graduate/Equivalent Required
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a leadership role Preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Preferred Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:

  • Experience testing HL7 messages Preferred
  • Experience with JSONPreferred
  • Experience using BiztalkPreferred
  • Experience with Performance/Load testingPreferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Required
  • Nursing background Preferred
  • Experience using Selenium, Appium, JSON, Cucumber, or Leapwork Required
  • Automated testing experience using/building Selenium or Leapwork Preferred
  • Proven process improvement experience Preferred
  • Experience in UiPath Preferred
  • Ability to write complex SQL Queries Preferred
  • Experience with PowerBI, Microstrategy Preferred
  • Mobile testing (iOS, Android) Preferred

  • Experience using ADO (Azure DevOps) Preferred
