Job Description:

The Sr. Accountant has responsibility for assisting in the intercompany functions and in compliance with all GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and procedures. Will be supporting consolidations and reporting of monthly results. Support day-to-day and month end functions. This person will have a set of accounts with a good understanding of financial statements to ensure compliance.

  • Prep and review consolidated financial statements and be able to identify and research trends
  • Prepare and review journal entries
  • Conduct and document financial processes
  • Interpret results using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via analysis to complex data mining
  • Reviews JEs of junior staff for accuracy (including training and mentoring)
  • Owns, supports, analyzes, and preps assigned account reconciliations
  • Assist with financial and tax audit
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded in SAP
  • Communicate intercompany charges with both domestic and overseas counterparties
  • Preparing monthly reconciliation and confirmation of intercompany payable and receivable balances
  • Responsible for intercompany queries and resolving issues within stipulated time frame
  • Responsible for the monitoring of aging intercompany payables and receivables and resolving related issues
  • Initiating and documenting process improvements in the intercompany role to improve efficiency
  • Provide commentary to Supervisor on material intercompany differences on both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Ensure deadlines are met and issues resolved as necessary
  • Participate in special projects, ad hoc reports, and cross-train with other team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills; Must have ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Must have ten-key calculator by touch
  • Previous SAP experience required
  • Minimum 5 years Intercompany or General Accounting experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or MBA are a plus
