Verity is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team and oversee the sourcing of opportunities for our sales team. VerityData is rapidly expanding its footprint, and we need motivated sales professionals to assist in growing our sales pipeline accordingly. We are seeking scrappy and goal-oriented individuals who have an interest and passion for the financial markets.

Key Duties:

  • Book new business meetings with key stakeholders at large investment management organizations
  • Prospecting via cold-calling, emails, and other forms of messaging or marketing initiatives
  • Qualify inbound and marketing leads and convert relevant ones to meetings and deal opportunities
  • Concisely explain VerityData value proposition to sales prospects and determine whether their needs could be met with VerityData platform
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas and objectives
  • Track and monitor leads in CRM
  • Collaborate with marketing team in developing innovative outreach campaigns
  • Assist sales and marketing teammates with client and prospecting events

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of sales experience (SaaS sales is a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interest in the equity / financial markets
  • Proficiency with Salesforce a plus
  • Highly competitive and coachable
  • Strong work ethic, detail oriented with a high level of integrity and emotional intelligence
