PROPOSAL MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY

Okland Construction is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Manager to join our team. The person in this position will uphold a critical role in the development of proposals, statements of qualifications, and other marketing materials. The successful candidate will be required to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and contribute to the ongoing success of the company.

Founded in 1918, Okland Construction operates as a regional general contracting and construction management company with now nearly 1,000 employees and growing. It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-preform on large commercial scale.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proposal Development:
  • Work with the proposal team on the development, writing, and editing of statements of qualifications, proposals, and other marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for proposals.
  • Ensure proposals are completed accurately and on time.
  • Content Management:
  • Maintain marketing information systems and records in electronic format, including resumes, project profiles, and standard materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials to support project acquisition efforts.
  • Database Management:
  • Keep the marketing database systems up to date with project information.
  • Manage and organize proposal content for easy retrieval and reuse.
  • Communication and Design:
  • Assist the team with any internal/external communications.
  • Design and order company-branded materials.
  • Have the ability to create blog posts, case studies, etc. for the website or other platforms.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to company branding and quality standards.
  • Proofread and review materials for accuracy and consistency.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree or higher (preferably in Graphic Design) with 5-7 years of work experience in construction or related industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience in construction, architectural, or engineering fields are a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative mindset for design, format, and presentation of marketing materials.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for attractive and appealing layout and design.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to continuous skill improvement.
  • Strong grammar and writing skills, particularly technical writing.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
