Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Lead who will be responsible for cloud systems plans and strategy in support of a contract tasked with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining onsite and cloud-based enterprise IT solutions for an intelligence customer in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Successful Candidates will oversee the design, development, and deployment of applications into a Cloud or Hybrid Cloud and implementation of enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing.
The ideal Cloud Engineering Lead will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of applicable analytics, and experience in producing effective solutions. They must be able to recommend and engineer solutions from conception to deployment. This role is hands on and fully integrated within a team of other subject matter experts. The ideal candidate embraces the concepts of servant leadership and being an agent of change, as part of a larger team.

Additional Responsibilities include:Architecting and leading the development and integration of cloud-based information and computer systems that meet specific needs, as identified in the SOW.Accountable for the end-to-end cloud deployment experience, from concept development to deployment.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or related technical field.5+ years of experience supporting cloud architecture design, development, implementation, and maintenance.A minimum of one of the following professional certifications:
  • Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA)
  • AWS Solutions Architect (Professional)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with one of the large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions similar to AWS or Elastic MapReduce.Experience supporting highly distributed applications.Experience leading cross-functional technology team.One of the following A WS Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate)
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional)
  • AWS Certified Big Data (Specialty)
Experience utilizing AGILE development methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management.Experience working with programming languages such as Java, C++, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Pig/Hive, and/or Elixir.Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $250400

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
