Salary:This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $16.24 an hour. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.

Location:This position is located in INDOT's Greenfield District.

A Day in the Life:
  • Responsible for completing tasks assigned from assigned Manager
  • Maintains office filing system, inventory, and searches files for retrieval of information;
  • Enter data into Excel or Microsoft as needed;
  • Performs variety of related clerical tasks (e.g.; open /sort mail, compose/edit correspondence relativeto assigned work, maintain files, answer telephone inquiries);
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need for Success:
  • Valid high school diploma or GED; preferred one (1) year of related work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to perform daily duties independently and/or with other people.
  • Must have knowledge about Excel, Microsoft, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to take orders on which tasks need to be completed.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
  • Pay attention to details and have an organizational Skills and Time management.
  • Considerable knowledge of computer skills with Microsoft Office Software required specifically Excel tobe able to create and input information into Excel databases.
  • Basic knowledge of PeopleSoft software preferred.

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period
