Airswift is looking for a Contract Specialist to join our team in The Woodlands, TX on a 6-month assignment, focusing on drilling contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of contract management and be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel. This role involves managing, reviewing, and negotiating drilling contracts to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management:
    Oversee the lifecycle of drilling contracts, from initial drafting to execution and termination.
  • Ensure all contracts meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and Negotiation:
    Review contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and areas for negotiation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Documentation:
    Prepare, edit, and maintain contract documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues as they arise.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with drilling contracts. Provide guidance and recommendations to management on contract related matters.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with other departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for contract-related activities.
  • Reporting:
    Generate reports on contract status, performance, and compliance using Excel. Provide regular updates to management on key contract metrics.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably within the drilling or oil and gas industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Contract Specialist
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulatory requirements related to drilling contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field is required.
