Everline Tech is in search of a skilled Transmission Line Engineer to become a vital part of our engineering team. This role involves engaging in a diverse range of stimulating High Voltage and Extra High Voltage AC and DC transmission line initiatives, with opportunities to contribute to renewable energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive engineering and design for overhead transmission line projects, guiding them from initial concept to construction, covering voltages from 4kV to 500kV.
- Execute detailed design work for underground transmission line projects, focusing on voltages ranging from 69kV to 230kV.
- Develop precise cost estimates and probable cost statements for projects with limited initial details.
- Create construction and material specifications, along with scope documents for tenders and contracts.
- Act as a liaison with clients and contractors, coordinating with various disciplines and permitting agencies.
- Take on the role of project engineer and/or project manager as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant post-graduation design experience is preferred.
- Ability to influence the design process through prior experience with similar projects.
- Proficient in using PLS software suite, Sag10, AutoCAD or Microstation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with the necessary codes, standards, and regulations for designing transmission lines in the United States, including NESC, CPUC, ASCE, RUS, etc.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines in a team setting.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
