As an Information Technology Specialist (Cybersecurity) you will:

Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through oversight of the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.

Conduct comprehensive reviews and evaluations of cyber security programs to assess performance and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, and/or procedures.

Assess progress toward meeting NNSA mission goals and objectives and ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.

Oversee, and analyze the M&O Contractor's cyber and technical security program activities for compliance with established requirements.
Evaluate contractor self-assessment results to provide meaningful input regarding overall contractor compliance and performance.

Evaluate and test contractor programs to identify vulnerabilities from credible threat information and to implement protection strategies designed to mitigate threats.

Participate in meetings with local, NNSA, and DOE-wide participants to discuss technically challenging issues, monitor status, evaluate completion, assess, document, accept, and reject work, notify contractors of deficiencies and review/accept remedies and rework.
