Job Description

Our client, a leading banking organization in the Livermore area, is seeking a highly skilled Security Network Information Specialist to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining networks, computer hardware, peripherals, and software solutions to ensure the efficient and secure processing of member transactions.

  • Analyze data from threat and vulnerability feeds to identify potential security risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Configure and monitor various security devices and tools, including anti-virus software, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Execute policies and audit plans to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Generate reports on assessment findings and provide recommendations for remediation tasks.
  • Support the management of information security and the establishment of the Information Security Framework and Program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Information Security Manager.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a Security or Network Specialist role is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with attention to detail.
  • Experience in security device management and related tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security concepts, including cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, and incident management.
  • Knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
  • Strong IT Network background and knowledge of Information Security and Cyber Heist are highly desired.


Physical Requirements

  • May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently.
  • Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
