In our Navigation & Sensor Solutions Hardware Engineering department, you will become part of a Component & Material Engineering Team supporting all Military GPS Products.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for creating and maintaining component specifications.
- Work with a variety of components and materials used in GPS Products.
- Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers, Purchasing, Quality & Program Managers to resolve component issues in regard to obsolescence, technical changes, part shortages & failures.
- Perform BOM Analysis on new designs.
- Provide technical support in the resolution of complex commodity issues in the design and manufacturing environment.
- Create and update documentation needed to support Program requirements.

- You possess good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills (Customers, Peers, Management and Suppliers)
- You're willing to put in the time and effort it takes to get the job done.
- You are always looking for ways to do things better and faster.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
- Must have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 2+ years of direct related experience
- Knowledge of components, materials or processes used in the Electronics Industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on a cross-functional team
- US Citizen
- Candidates with Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Past experience as a Component or Application Engineer
- Experience with creating part specifications
- Experience evaluating impacts from Part Change Notifications
- Familiar with industry standards (IPC, ASTM, JEDEC)
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $113400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
