Technology Consulting, Financial Services Senior Manager - Solution Architect:
Primary location for this role is in NY.

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit ("FSO") that is dedicated to the financial services marketplace.

The opportunity

Our Financial Risk Technology practice helps clients manage credit, market and liquidity risk across regions and regulatory regimes.
We provide full lifecycle services to enable the implementation of best practice risk management processes and systems.
We help clients respond to emerging risk and regulatory developments through implementation of agile methodologies.

The Financial Risk Technology practice focus areas include:

Credit risk technology solutions - Technology solutions to complex credit risk, capital issues and regulatory mandates including but not limited to credit origination and approval, portfolio management, rating systems, Basel, CCAR Banking Book, IFRS 9, CECL, and SCCL.
Treasury risk technology solutions - Establishing a strategic treasury risk architecture and framework that supports changing regulatory requirements enables the implementation of Liquidity Risk (including Intra-day), Funds Transfer Pricing, and Collateral Management solutions.
Trading and market risk technology solutions - Streamlining trading technology environments and implementing flexible and reliable risk platforms including front office based market risk and VAR platform strategy, stress testing analytics, PnL decomposition and regulatory mandates including but not limited to FRTB and CCAR Trading Book.
Your key responsibilities

You'll foster relationships with client personnel at senior levels and lead integrated campaigns generating demand and revenue for EY Services.
You'll cultivate and manage business development opportunities and maintain long term client relationships and supporting the development of future technology offerings to drive sales.
Lead relationship building and business development conversations with senior/C-level client stakeholdersLead business opportunity identification and business development pursuit processes internally and with potential clientsServe as a thought leader on risk management/compliance program and technology topicsDevelop approaches and business cases to implement change in our clients' environmentsServe as engagement leader to include:
Guiding engagement teams, work product creation and overall qualityLeading discussions with client stakeholdersAssessing risk/compliance programs and technologyGathering business requirements and translating them into IT system functional requirements, designs, user journeys, and solution visions.Developing strategic architecture and system change and configuration options.Implementing, testing, and assisting to deploy changes to third party and custom development systems.Conducting data analytics work such as performing data analysis and modeling on client data.Lead discussions with senior/C-level client stakeholders to present value delivered in engagements and gain buy-in.Lead a diverse range of internal practice development initiatives.
Skills and attributes for success Your financial and risk background will enable you to build and deliver practical, executable plans that enable client successStay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's businessDrive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.Constantly developing your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleaguesUnderstanding our clients' unique ambitions and needs and referring them to colleagues in other teams and areas to broaden our business relationships where possibleStrong knowledge of and experience in executing controls related assessments across multiple risk and regulatory domains throughout the technology architectureDemonstrated experience in end-to-end and UAT testing of business processes, technology, and data infrastructures To qualify for the role you must have A Bachelor's degree (computer science, engineering, or related field) and approximately 8 years of related work experience in a Technology role in a financial services company ORA Master's degree (computer science, engineering, or related field) and approximately 6 years of related work experience in a financial services companyDemonstrated ability to manage, supervise and build a team of technology advisors through requirements definition, controls implementation, and testingDeep understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and experience in designing solutions to meet them.Lead and manage a team of skilled software engineers and technology architects to deliver end-to-end solutions for Advisory clients, focusing on C+, Java, Python, other full-stack development over cloud platforms.Ability to innovate and adapt to a rapidly changing client landscape and develop/enhance EY services to meet new demandsPrior consulting experience with a Big 4 firm or large global bank is preferredExperience working with cloud-based technologies such as IaaS (AWS, GCP), DBaaS(DynamoDB, Cosmos DB), CaaS (Azure Kubernetes service, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes service) and familiarity with OpenAI technologies such as advance machine learning models like GPT and DALL-E.Experience developing strategic relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and pursuing opportunities through the full sales lifecycleExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Provide strategic leadership in technology design and architecture for regulatory reporting initiatives Technical Skillset Enterprise IT implementation experience leveraging Agile methodologiesHands-on experience in one or more phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements definition, architecture design, configuration, and testingWorking knowledge of .
